What insurance cover should an organisation in this sector require/consider?
Like many other professionals it is often a requirement of professional bodies around the globe for solicitors firms to obtain Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII) in order to practice.

Solicitors in England & Wales must maintain qualifying insurance in accordance with the rules administered by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). Since 2000, Solicitors in England and Wales have been required to arrange PII cover from insurers on the 'open market'. Up until October 2013 firms had to have a PII policy in place by the 1st October deadline, however, firms can now renew at any time throughout the year (subject to the agreement of their insurers).

Alternative Business Structures and Limited Liability Partnerships must have at least £3m compulsory cover. All other cases (for example, sole practitioners and partnerships), must have at least £2m.

In addition to PII, we provide help and assistance with:
  • Deductible In-Fill Insurance
  • Outside Board Insurance
  • Directors & Officers Liability Insurance
  • Employment Practices' Liability Insurance
  • Management Liability Insurance (COLPs and COFAs included)
  • Pension Fund Trustees' Liability Insurance
  • Cyber Liability Insurance
  • After the Event Legal Expenses Insurance
  • Trustees Liability Insurance
  • Office and General Liability Insurance
